Google Nexus 6 (2016)

Image
Information about the release date of the Nexus 6 (2016) hasn't been announced yet, but we can already predict that it won't land until the fourth quarter (of this year), like the previous Nexus devices in the series. Google Nexus 6 (2016) design An early rumor from Gizmochina suggests that it could be Huawei once again who is tasked with co-producing the next Nexus 6. If this is true, we could speculate that another metal phablet is in store. While Huawei’s Nexus 6P design was generally well received, its rear visor became a subject of contention after it was rumored to be shattering for no apparent reason. The internet is awash with examples of this cracked visor now and it has called Huawei’s design skills into question. Despite this, we consider the Nexus 6P to be one of the best-looking Nexus devices yet and hopefully Huawei would deliver in this area once again.

Google Nexus 5 (2016)

Google tends to release its Nexus devices towards the end of the year alongside its new operating system – just as it did last year with the Nexus 5X and Android Marshmallow. We expect the Nexus 5 (2016) to follow this pattern once again.

HUAWEI P9 "CO - ENGINEERED WITH LEICA"

Huawei has made some really good (if not necessarily inspiring) hardware for some time now. The Nexus 6P. The Mate series. Its Honor sub-brand. It helped spread good fingerprint sensors to the whole of Android. It's had above-average cameras for a while now. The anchor dragging it down has always been its EMUI software — its iOS-inspired user interface. That had as much to to with how EMUI was implemented as it did the fact that it's simply different than what most of us on Android are used to. No app drawer. A different sort of notification drawer and quick-settings scheme. And in the process of changing all that, things were broken — particularly when Huawei's phones were sold outside China and Google's services were added back in. In fact, we need to change "least broken" to "really good." Pretty much all of the showstopping bugs we'd experienced before have been fixed. Even the still-niche Android Auto works out of the box — something w

Google’s Live Cases for the Nexus 6P

Image
Google announced new customisable cases for the Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, and Nexus 6 called Live Cases. At $35 "Rs. 2,324", these cases are by no means inexpensive, so we decided to pick one up to see if there is any chance you should even consider purchasing one. Live Cases come in two styles that include either maps of any location in the world or imagery chosen by the you, the customer. Depending on the case, you could further customise the look of the map or image with a handful of designs, shapes, and colours. Each case also includes an NFC button on the back, along with an accompanying app to program that button as a shortcut for doing things like launching the camera or turning WiFi on and off. Each case’s app comes with a live wallpaper of constantly changing maps depending on your location, or a slide show, as well. We went with the Maps version because it seemed like not only a really cool concept, but a case we wouldn’t get sick of in a couple of weeks, either. In c

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Xiaomi is back and what a comeback. One of the most talked about companies in the Indian smartphone scene, took its time and came up with a very good phone, the Redmi Note 3. The phone trumps everything when it comes to performance, even phones which cost atleast Rs. 30,000. The battery is more than commendable at 4000mAh and offering at least 12 hours of usage on a single charge. The 16MP rear camera might not be the best but it takes good pictures nevertheless. However, at Rs. 11,999 you are still getting the best deal for a budget smartphone.
